On November 15th, Israeli President Shimon Peres sent a congratulation letter to General Secretary Xi Jinping. In the letter President Shimon Peres extended his deep congratulations, in his name and on behalf of the people of Israel, on Xi Jinping's election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Communist Party of China Central Military Commission. President Peres expressed his confidence that under Xi Jinping's leadership, the collaboration between Israel and China will only grow stronger and deeper for the benefit of the two peoples.
