On May 25th, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with Mr. Yaacov Avrahamy, Israeli Consulate General-designate to Guangzhou at her residence.
Ambassador Gao greeted Mr. Avrahamy on his appointment as the new consulate general to Guangzhou, and briefed him on the latest developments of China-Israeli relations and the economic and social situation in China. Ambassador Gao hopes that he could play an active and constructive role in deepening bilateral friendship and promoting the exchange and cooperation in fields such as economy and trade, education, and culture.
Mr. Avrahamy shared with Ambassador Gao his experience during his previous visit to China several years ago, and said that he will work hard to promote bilateral relations, especially exchanges and cooperation between Israel and the Guangzhou consular district.
Ambassador Gao and Mr. Avrahamy also exchanged views on other topics of mutual concern.
