On November 9th, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with the Shanxi Provincial Delegation headed by Mr. Zhang Ping, the Vice Governor of the Province. Mr. Zhou Guolin, Science and Technology Counselor of the Embassy of China, was present.
Ambassador Gao briefed the delegation the friendly bilateral relations and prospects of Sino-Israel cooperation. She stressed that Israel has obvious advantages of technologies and innovation, the good momentum of economic development, and a strong willingness to cooperate with China. She hopes Shanxi Province to further strengthen the pragmatic cooperation with Israel in high technology, novel energy, agriculture and other fields so as to promote the friendship between both peoples and the development of bilateral relations.
Mr. Zhang Ping updated Ambassador Gao the latest science-and -technology, economic and social development of Shanxi Province. He said that Shanxi has an ancient history, profound Chinese culture including cultural heritage, while rapid economic and harmonious social development has been witnessed. He stressed that Shanxi has the strong will and great potential to cooperate with Israel in various fields such as high technology, energy, agriculture, etc. He emphasized that Shanxi is willing to play an active role in promoting the friendship and pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit from November 7th to 10th, the Shanxi Provincial Delegation mainly visited the Israeli Green Technological Incubator, Ayman Technology Company and efficient dripping irrigation facilities in MAGAL kibbutz. The delegation and their Israeli partners reached a broad consensus on further cooperation.
