On August 21, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Israel Xiao Junzheng attended the On-Site Construction Safety Exchange for Chinese Construction Companies in Israel, which was organized by the Chinese Enterprises Association in Israel.

Ambassador Xiao visited and inspected a project site of Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) in Or Yehuda. Xiao inspected the safety management measures for key construction activities, including work at height, edge and opening protection, lifting operations, and workforce management. Ambassador Xiao also held discussions with representatives of 13 Chinese construction enterprises and labor service companies. He urged the companies to approach workplace safety with a strong sense of political responsibility, firmly adhere to bottom-line thinking, and make overall arrangements for ensuring production safety and securing personnel safety during wartime.

Minister-Counselor Xie Qinsheng, along with relevant officials from the Embassy's Economic and Commercial sector and Consular Office, also attended the event.
