On 3 June 2026, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng met with Speaker Amir Ohana of the Knesset. Ambassador Xiao stated that the Chinese side attaches great importance to its relations with Israel. China stands ready to work with Israel to strengthen exchanges between the two countries’ legislative bodies once the regional security situation improves. Speaker Ohana reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to the one-China policy, and expressed his expectation of enhancing exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese side to jointly advance inter-parliamentary ties and the bilateral relations.
