On May 28, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Israel, together with the Association of Former Residents in of China in Israel and the the Israel–China Friendship Society, conducted a joint visit to Caesarea and surrounding areas to gain insights into Israel’s historical and cultural heritage as well as its experience in sustainable development, and to exchange views on future cooperation.

The delegation first visited the village of Amikam, where they engaged in warm exchanges with local residents. The village was established by Jews who had previously lived in Harbin, Shanghai, and other Chinese cities, serving as an important testament to the historical bonds between the Chinese and Jewish peoples, as well as between China and Israel. Members of the delegation toured the village museum with great interest, viewing photographs and artifacts from its early days and personally experiencing the profound friendship that has spanned time and distance between the two peoples.
The delegation then visited the Nahal Taninim water diversion project and the ancient city of Caesarea, where they learned about the historical development of water resource management by the Jewish people and appreciated the charm of the ancient commercial city with its millennia of history.

During the visit, both sides revisited the history of China–Jewish and China–Israel friendship and engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as green development and people-to-people exchanges in a warm and lively atmosphere. Representatives from the Association of Former Residents in of China in Israel, the Israel–China Friendship Society, and other organizations expressed their willingness to further strengthen people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, deepen traditional friendship, and contribute to the China–Israel innovative comprehensive partnership.
