On February 17, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng attended the 2026 Israel Climate Change Conference hosted in Be’er Sheva. He was interviewed by a journalist as the guest of honor. Nearly 200 representatives from Israel’s political, business, academic, and media communities participated in the event.

Drawing on detailed data and vivid examples, Ambassador Xiao elaborated on the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and provided an in-depth explanation of the rich substance and core essence of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. He emphasized the vast potential for China and Israel to deepen cooperation in science and technology and to jointly address the challenges of climate change. Participants spoke highly of China’s significant achievements in green development, commended the country’s proactive national strategy to address climate change, and expressed appreciation for China’s major leading role in global climate governance.
