On November 27th, Ambassador Gao Yanping met with Prof. Joseph Klafter, President of Tel Aviv University. Also present at the meeting were Mr. Yang Yonghong, director of the Political Section of the Embassy, and Professor Raanan Rein, Vice President of Tel Aviv University and director of Confucius Institute at Tel Aviv University.

Ambassador Gao briefed on the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and exchanged views with Prof. Klafter on China-Israel relations, bilateral education exchange and cooperation in particular. Ambassador Gao and Prof. Klafter also discussed on middle east peace process and upcoming election of Israel.
