On July 11th, Chinese Ambassador Gao Yanping hosted a joint event for Israel-China Friendship Society and Association of Former Residents of China at Ambassador’s residence. Counselor Lu Kun presided over the event. Ambassador Gao, President of Israel-China Friendship Society, Mr. Teddy Piastunovich and President of Association of Former Residents of China, Mr. Yossi Klein delivered speeches respectively. More than 70 people attended this event, which include members from Israel-China Friendship Society and Association of Former Residents of China and its family members , as well as Embassy’s staff.

“Welcome home!”, Ambassador Gao said at first. She positively commented on the important contribution made by the two most important organizations in Israel engaging in people to people exchanges with China. She mentioned “Amity between people holds the key to sound relations between states”, and the bilateral relations are in the best-ever shape in history. Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu made a successful official visit to China last may and a lot of important consensus have been reached on bilateral pragmatic cooperation by the leaders of our two countries. The China-Israel relationship will have a brighter future with our joint efforts. Ambassador Gao said in the speech that, the Chinese Dream is becoming a hot topic home and abroad. It is the dream of the country, of the nation and of the people. Israel will benefit from the realization of the Chinese Dream.

President of Israel-China Friendship Society, Mr. Teddy Piastunovich and President of Association of Former Residents of china, Mr. Yossi Klein expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Chinese Embassy for hosting this annual joint event in their speeches and said the two organizations will continue to contribute to reinforce and promote the friendly cooperative relationship between Chinese people and Jewish people.

During the event, there were some performances with Chinese and Israeli characteristics, which included Chinese songs and writing, Beijing opera and Israeli songs and dances.
