On October 6, 2025, an event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the recovery of Taiwan was held at the Tel Aviv China Cultural Center. Ambassador Xiao Junzheng, President Chen Chenghuan of the China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful National Reunification in Israel, and over 150 compatriots from both sides of the Taiwan Strait in Israel attended. Ambassador Xiao stated that the history of Taiwan's liberation and United Nations General Assembly Resolution 2758 irrefutably prove that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory. Reunification has always been the belief of compatriots across the nation, and achieving it will ultimately represent the hope for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Overseas compatriots should uphold the principles of national righteousness, jointly safeguard the hard-won victory of Taiwan's recovery, and work together to protect, build, and develop the shared homeland of the Chinese nation. President Chen Chenghuan emphasized the need to honor history with concrete actions and convey shared understanding, ensuring that the glory of Taiwan's liberation shines even brighter on the journey toward the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
