On 7 January 2026, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng, accompanied by diplomats from the Chinese Embassy, visited Kibbutz Ma'abarot in central Israel. He delivered a presentation on China's poverty alleviation philosophy and development achievements, aligning his message with the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.

Ambassador Xiao discussed the development history of Kibbutz Ma'abarot and China's practices for poverty reduction, shared prosperity, and high-quality development. He systematically explained the principles of collective cooperation, shared development, and people-centered development. He also provided an in-depth introduction to China's strategic approach from targeted poverty alleviation to rural revitalization, as well as the core concepts of "A Prosperous China", "A Happy China", and "An Innovative China" in the 15th Five-Year Plan. Through examples of China-Israel agricultural technology and innovation cooperation, he demonstrated the tangible results of Chinese modernization in promoting fairness, improving people's livelihoods, and advancing international cooperation. The event saw active participation and enthusiastic interaction from the audience, with a positive response to discussions on pragmatic China-Israel cooperation prospects.

Ambassador Xiao also visited the industrial park founded by Kibbutz Ma'abarot, along with its dairy farm and orchard.
