On 18 March 2025, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng met with Ambassador Eynat Shlein, head of MASHAV (Israel’s International Development Agency). Both sides had a friendly exchange of views on strengthening China-Israel innovation cooperation. Minister Counsellor Qin Weidong from the Embassy was present.

Ambassador Xiao commended and appreciated MASHAV’s contribution to the development of water-saving agriculture, dairy industry, talent training and many other fields in China over the past 30 years. It is hoped that innovation cooperation between China and Israel could play a leading role in the sustainable development of the two countries and the world.

Ambassador Schlein noted that MASHAV values its cooperation with China, and is glad to see Israel’s active role in China's development process. The Israeli side stands ready to work with China to explore new fields and approches for future cooperation.
