Ambassador Gao Yanping Visits the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace of Hebrew University

On November 27th, 2013, Ambassador Gao Yanping visited the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace of Hebrew University and met with Professor Menahem Blondheim, Director of the Truman Institute. Mr. Yang Yonghong, head of Political Section of the Chinese Embassy, and Ms. Naama Shpeter, Executive Director of the Truman Institute, were present.

Ambassador Gao briefed the latest development of China-Israel relations and emphasized the current bilateral relations are in the best shape, with fruitful pragmatic cooperation outcomes and frequent communications and visit of all levels. Ambassador Gao hoped that the Truman Institute, as one of the most influential Israeli think tanks, could expand the communications and cooperation with Chinese think tanks, and make its own contributions to the healthy development of bilateral relations as well as the friendship of the two peoples.
 
Professor Blondheim spoke highly of China's great achievements as well as the current development of bilateral relations. He said that the Truman Institute attached great importance to China's status and influence in the international arena, and the Truman Institute would like to further enhance its study on China and have all kinds of contacts and cooperation with Chinese think tanks.
