On 5 Mar 2025, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng attended and addressed the “Doing Business with China in the Snake Year of 2025” event held by the Israel-China Chamber of Commerce. Taly Segal, Director of the India-China Division of the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Israel, Anat Bernshtein Raich, President of the Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce, Amos Yudan, Chairman of the Israel-China Chamber of Commerce, Ilan Maor, President of the Israel-China Chamber of Commerce and nearly 100 delegates from Israeli business community were present. 

In his speech, Ambassador Xiao Junzheng underscored that China-Israel relationship has stood the test of international turbulence and maintained healthy and stable momentum. China Israel economic and trade cooperation possesses enormous potentials and strong resilience. Trade wars and tariff wars produce no winners. Rather, they only bring turmoil to the global economy and undermine people’s interests of all countries, including Israel. Faced with the rising uncertainties of the global economy, China is firmly advancing high-quality development and high-level opening up. China will continue to serve as the “anchor of stability” and “a driving force” in the global economy. China welcomes Israel to board the express train of China’s development and share the opportunities of China’s opening-up. China is ready to respond to the strong desire of both sides to expand and deepen practical bilateral cooperation with higher-quality opening-up. The Israel-China Chamber of Commerce and friends from Israeli business community serve as the vital force in advancing the steady and sound development of China-Israel relations. It is hoped that friends from the business community could continue voicing their support and helping to deepen and expand China-Israel economic and trade cooperation.

Taly Segal elaborated on Israeli enterprises’ commercial activities in China. She noted that the Ministry of Economy and Industry would continue to promote Israel-China economic and trade cooperation. She also encouraged Israeli enterprises to seize the opportunity and achieve win-win results. Ilan Maor pointed out that China possesses favorable and open business environment and assuring public security. Now it’s the perfect time to resume and advance Israel-China economic and trade cooperation. He expected the Israel-China economic and trade cooperation to inject positive energy into the healthy and stable development of Israeli economy, and pledged the chamber's active role in this endeavor. In the lively discussions, other attendees highly acknowledged China's important contributions to the global economy, expressed confidence in the prospects of bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and discussed tremendous opportunities brought by China’s economic development to Israeli enterprises based on their commercial experience in China.
