Han Zheng Attends the Opening Ceremony of the Fifth China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation Meeting

On October 29, 2024, Vice President Han Zheng attended and addressed the opening ceremony of the Fifth China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation Meeting in Beijing. Finnish President Alexander Stubb and more than 100 representatives from the Chinese and Finnish governments and business circles, attended the meeting.

Han Zheng said that China and Finland enjoy a long history of friendly exchanges. During President Xi Jinping's visit to Finland in 2017, the two sides established a future-oriented new-type cooperative partnership and opened a new chapter in the development of bilateral relations. In recent years, the two countries have seen steady growth in bilateral relations, thanks to their joint efforts. The enterprises of the two countries have carried out fruitful cooperation in fields such as new energy, forest industry, information and communications, and winter sports, bringing tangible benefits to both peoples and making positive contributions to global development and prosperity.

Han Zheng stressed that the China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation has played an important role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between enterprises from both sides in the field of innovation. China is ready to work with Finland to uphold the spirit of open and inclusive cooperation, seize cooperation opportunities in green transition, explore avenues for innovative development, further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote deeper, more solid China-Finland and China-EU economic and trade cooperation.

Alexander Stubb said that Finland-China economic and trade relations enjoy a solid foundation, and China is one of Finland's most important export markets with broad prospects for development. Finland will actively support enterprises in investing and deepening their presence in China. Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest and do business in Finland.
