Recently, Chinese Ambassador Xiao Junzheng visited Ben-Gurion University and met with representatives of the Chinese student studying there. Ambassador Xiao inquired about the students' academic and campus life and urged them to strictly follow the guidance of the local civil defense authorities, take appropriate safety precautions, and ensure personal safety. He also encouraged them to remain focused on studies, cultivate interdisciplinary thinking, integrate into the university’s innovation ecosystem, and serve as bridges for academic exchanges between China and Israel. The ambassador also exchanged views with the university’s Vice President for Global Engagement, Professor Michal Bar-Asher Siegal, on how to better support Chinese students in their daily life, studies and, in particular, safety.
